Easy-to-make peanut paste can be prepared with mustard, peanut butter, salad oil, and soy sauce. Proportions are in the taste buds of the beholder.

Spicy peanut paste for soba noodles can easily be made using peanut butter, sesame oil, red pepper, brown sugar, and soy sauce. Experiment to taste.

Caramelize sliced onion, roast garlic until soft. Mix one part caramelized onion, 1/4 part roasted garlic puree, one part peanut butter, 1/16 - 1/8 part red pepper flakes, 1/16 - 1/8 part hot bone stock (veal, beef or chicken), mix in to a sauce, add salt to taste.
